Exboard Casterboard Street Surfing Ripstik: deluxe package includes case and extra set of wheels WE ORDERED THE EXBOARD FROM BLAKESROOM AND IT CAME IN IMMEDIATELY IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS. MY SON WAS VERY EXCITED WITH THE EXBOARD AND STARTED TO USE IT IMMEDIATELY. IT TOOK HIM 2 DAYS OF PRACTICE TO GET THE HANG OF IT. ANOTHER KID ON THE BLOCK TRIED IT AND LIKE THE WAY IT MOVED SAYING IT WAS EASIER TO USE THAN THE RIPSTICK. THE ONLY THING IS THAT THE CARRYING CASE AT FIRST USE TORE ITS SEAMS IMMEDIATELY. NOT TOO UPSET ABOUT IT BECAUSE WE WILL MORE THAN LIKELY NOT USE IT AT ALL ANYWAY. NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT THE SCREW AT THE BOTTOM IS SCREWED TIGHTLY. WE LOST ONE OF THE SCREWS SINCE WE DID NOT REALIZED THAT IT HAD A SCREW. OVERALL, WELL SATISFIED WITH THE PRODUCT. WE WILL PROBABLY PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE FOR GRANDSON FOR HIS BIRTHDAY.

I bought my husband the original and he loves it. We read about the new Indo Flo cushion for the board and had to try it. They are so much fun. I don't want to get off of it. The first night we both rode it for hours. The next day I was so sore! I had no idea you could have fun and get a workout. We have now given them as gifts. My father in law loves it for golfing!

I bought these a few years ago after I started snowboarding. They're both fun and strengthen your legs and stomach. Since I moved into the house I live in now, they've been sitting in the kitchen and there's usually somebody on one of them. They're definitely sturdy and can take a lot of abuse.

Some may question a keen surfers motivation to move to the centre of any continent... Indo board has reveived my soul and kept the dream alive for my 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter. Starting on carpet and moving to hardwood was smart. Provides a great release for my energetic son.

Roller Derby Sidewinder Scooter Review

Roller Derby Sidewinder Scooter

I bought this for my 9 year old son for Christmas. I researched many scooters and found this one to be what I thought was the best. It would bear the most weight, had excellent wheels and easy to fold and tuck away. He broke the brake the second time he rode it. It was broken beyond repair as it just snapped off. Now I had warned him about the brake ahead of time, knowing this was the scooters one weak point. He knew not to push on it too hard or slam his foot on it. He was very disappointed and has not ridden it since. I am sure he could stop it with is foot on the the wheel gentlely or by just stepping down/dragging his foot on the ground if he was going fast. Disappointed is an understatement, especially after all the research I did before purchasing it.

Street Surfing Whiplash Wave Scooter Review

Street Surfing Whiplash Wave Scooter

My nine year old son received the Whiplash Scooter for his birthday. This is his second scooter. He loves this one because he can do so much more with it. He rides it up and down the sidewalk without ever touching the ground and he does these really cool turns he couldn't do on his other scooter. It is really well made too.

Building on the success of the original Wave street surfing casterboard, the Whiplash Wave scooter continues to combine the natural fluidity of surfing with the maneuverability of snowboarding and skating. Offering a revolutionary new way to ride, the Whiplash Wave Scooter's flexing deck and handlebar fuse together to provide riders with a cool, side to side, whip-like ride. And you can self-propel the scooter so that your feet never touch the ground or ride it like a traditional scooter. The Whiplash Wave Scooter only takes a few minutes to learn, and after a few hours most riders become proficient.
The platform is made of a virtually indestructible yet nicely lightweight ABS plastic, and it features a steel torsion bar that controls the flexible front and rear panels and never wears down. Other hardware features a rear caster wheel with ABEC 7 bearings and an extra long handle folds for easy travel and storage.
How to Ride the Whiplash
Place the Whiplash on a slight downward slope.
Place foot in the center of the back platform and position the scooter so that it is level with the ground.

Push with your front foot and lean your weight forward.
Look straight ahead. Straighten your body and bend your knees slightly.

Immediately after pushing off, start the twisting motion.
To achieve an "S" shape, move your shoulders and your hips back and forth in opposing directions. Swing your back foot repeatedly left to right and self propel your Whiplash Scooter without ever putting your foot on the ground.

Ripstik Caster Board Review

Ripstik Caster Board

I am 44 years old. I bike, I ski, I in-line skate. When I first saw a college student riding one of these, I asked him about it. He said "try it!" I almost did, but I didn't, for fear I would fall and die. I mean, only two wheels? And I didn't have my helmet with me.I finally broke down and bought one after seeing some cool videos on the internet. After putting on my helmet, and my knee and elbow pads and my wrist guards, I took it out into the parking lot today. The first ride is very scary, like riding a buttered block of ice, and lasts only about 1 second. After about five rides I'm up to five seconds and smiling my butt off.For the next half hour I can't stop smiling, even when I fall off (once). After this time, I'm able to make left turns, and I can even go uphill by doing a sort of manic twist to gain momentum. My longest ride is about 30 seconds. If you consider yourself coordinated, well-balanced, and reasonably athletic, I recommend this product to you, regardless of your age. It works perfectly, and presents a new athletic challenge that is well worth mastering. The independent steering of the front and back wheels adds a whole new dimension to the fun. The challenge of staying on the board will get you sweating without even realizing you are exercising. The Ripstik Caster Board is a revolutionary product, just as significant, I think, as the in-line skate. Buy one before you get too old for it.
