(More customer reviews)Thunders are great trucks. They fit right between Ventures and Independent with regards to geometry and response. Ventures have quick steering but a slow rotational response, making it feel like you need more force to pivot the board up and down. This is good when you want a lot of stability up and down and don't want to put a lot of effort into turning - perfect for beginners or when you're tired at the end of a long day of skating. Independents have slower steering and a fast rotational response, making the board feel lively and fast when popping and highly stable in turns. Thunders have the fast turning response of Ventures and feel like you need slightly less effort than with Ventures to pivot the board but slightly more effort than Independents. Quality, like all the trucks from the San Francisco foundry, is top notch. Be warned, though: Thunders are low, even the highs are low. To put it in perspective, the Thunder highs are the same height as Tensor lows. These Hollow Lights are extremely light, and feel great under my feet.
