Our seven year old has been skating for a little more than nine months and is coming along splendidly. We didn't hesitate at all when he asked for a Birdhouse board also. The graphics are awesome and it skates very smoothly. Definitely recommend this rig to any skater at any skill level but especially beginners. It's easier to learn when you've got a good set up to ride on.
