It's great for getting to class or just tearing up the roads. The hardware that comes with the board is decent excluding the bearing, which you should immediately throw away.

Sure, the graphics on the Gold Coast Venice Longboard could be taken as a colorful tribute to some island and African nations, but this is a SoCal-bred sidewalk surfer. Wide trucks let you carve deep, but the relatively small 60mm wheels mean speed will come effortlessly when it's time to outrun the stinky guy begging for change on the Venice boardwalk.
